Netroots Nation (a group of liberal bloggers) gathered recently, and one of their discussions revolved around food. Here's a synopsis of the discussion with four experts in the field, on La Vida Locavore website. They also posted a worksheet entitled "Your Food Action Guide: What can a Blogger Do?" These tools will help you think about food even more deeply as it is represented in the media, and what we can do about it as engaged citizens.

The New York Times doesn't have to be your filter any more. At "Rejected Letters to the Editor" you can read great letters that contribute to the public conversation that never got published. You can also upload your own rejected letters.

Ever wished there was a database of books and films on food and agriculture? It's here. Professor Phil Howard at Michigan State University has created a searchable database with 200 entries (and counting).
